Membership Survey 2018 Update

Update to Members from Tracey Groves, Membership Committee Chair

 Membership Engagement Survey 2018

During the final quarter of 2018 we conducted an online survey of all CWN Members supported by a selection of interviews by telephone. The response to the survey was extremely positive, with nearly 30% of our total membership answering the online questionnaire. This feedback and commentary was further reinforced by Members’ insights received via the one to one calls which formed part of our overall detailed analysis.

Thank you again to everyone who participated in the survey and provided such rich insights on their experience as a CWN Member. In particular, your thoughts and ideas as to how CWN can continue to provide real value through what we do and support you in your role in the workplace were extremely valuable.

We heard that…..

  1. The ability to connect and engage with senior CWN members is extremely important to you.  We will strive to retain and attract experienced professional women who will actively contribute and connect with other Members across the Network.
  1. The high quality and nature of the events we offer are distinctive and deliver a valuable opportunity for personal and professional development of our Members.
  1. Networking is the most important reason why our Members join CWN. It is a critical part of what we offer through our Members’ Directory, the range of events and opportunities to get more involved in CWN via the Committees.

We also took on board……

  1. Increasing the diversity of our membership is important to ensure we have a range of women from different backgrounds including sector, industry, expertise and ethnicity
  2. Developing a number of partnerships with other bodies, networks and organisations will help us to deliver further opportunities for training and development across a variety of professional and personal areas of interest
  3. Engaging and communicating across our membership through newsletters, use of social media and regular Member events are important to developing our community and forging relationships

So, what’s next?

The CWN Board and Committees have taken on board all of your feedback and suggestions. We have prioritised what CWN must continue to offer to our membership based on what you have told us, what we could further develop, and what we could do differently to enhance your experience as a Member, some of which is already underway.

You’ll see an invitation soon to the first of the ***NEW*** twice yearly Members Breakfast Forum where you can purposefully network and engage with each other, hear from Members on their personal career journeys and aspirations, and have an opportunity for Q&A with the Board and Committee Members. These new Forums are in addition to the existing events for Members that we currently offer.

Plus, a lot more to come, too!

Thank you again for your time in taking part in the CWN Membership Engagement Survey. I hope to see you all very soon at a future CWN event.

Best wishes,

Tracey Groves
